Allenstown K-8 Community School, Allenstown, New Hampshire

The Town of Allenstown historically has had one of the highest tax rates in the State of New Hampshire. Since a substantial portion of school costs comes from local taxes, the schools were maintained, but no significant upgrades or additions were completed for several years.  The Town was in desperate need of upgrades or replacement of the existing facilities. The school retained the Turner Group to assess the existing facilities and provide guidance with the New Hampshire Department of Education School Building Aid process. The team at TTG collaborated with owner’s project manager Gordon Bristol, construction manager Milestone Construction, civil/site engineer Wilcox & Barton, Inc., and electrical engineer Yeaton Associates to successfully deliver the project.

The result was a new, $32.5 million school building and campus project of which $19.5 million was secured through state Building Aid Funding. Beyond its functional success, the school has revitalized the community, providing inclusive spaces for education, recreation, and engagement. The Allenstown K-8 Community School is more than a building – it is a testament to the power of engineering to create sustainable, transformative solutions that exceed expectations and inspire pride.
